Answers before you reach out

Quick answers about what ChuboOS is, how a best-in-class agent OS works in practice, and what to expect if you evaluate or adopt it.

Overview

What is ChuboOS?

ChuboOS is an agent operating system for product and engineering teams. It organizes work into traceable feature packets, delegates bounded specialist roles, and keeps human approval gates and validation evidence in git — so multi-agent delivery stays inspectable instead of living only in chat.

Who is ChuboOS for?

Teams shipping software under real constraints: risk tiers, compliance-sensitive domains, multiple repos or ventures, or programs where one chat thread is not an acceptable system of record. Operators, integrators, and engineering leaders evaluating governed agent workflows are the primary audience.

How is this different from using a single AI chat?

A single chat optimizes for conversation. ChuboOS optimizes for packets, role isolation, and evidence. Work is scoped in TASK-### bundles with specs and handoffs; QA and release run in separate sessions from implementers on the same slice; Tier 2+ changes wait on explicit human gate records before build proceeds.

Product and workflow

What is a feature packet?

A staged bundle of work — typically labeled TASK-### — with discovery, plans, reviews, validation notes, and handoff tables. Packets carry risk classification so the right specialist reviews and human gates apply before merge or deploy.

What are skills?

Skills are role specialists in the OS: product manager, architect, developer, QA, security, release, and others. A core set ships with every workspace; optional modules add middle-management leads, compliance, platform infra, game, mobile, Web3, and similar domains when you enable them per project.

What are human gates?

Explicit human approval checkpoints for higher-risk work — for example Tier 2+ gate bundles before implementation, and human-owned merge and production deploy decisions. Agents prepare artifacts and evidence; humans sign off on material changes.

What does “kitchen and table” mean?

ChuboOS is the kitchen — where packets, roles, and gates are prepared. Customer-facing apps and hosted operator experiences can run on ChuboOS without exposing proprietary kitchen internals on public marketing sites.

Safety and boundaries

Can agents merge code or deploy production on their own?

No. Merge, secrets, production deploy, and customer communications stay human-owned by design. Release managers prepare merge briefs and readiness evidence; humans make go/no-go calls.

Does ChuboOS guarantee correct or compliant output?

No. ChuboOS improves traceability, role separation, and review paths — it does not replace your CI, counsel, on-call, or domain experts. Optional modules support regulated workflows; promotion still requires human judgment and your project's validation commands.

Adoption

Which editors or IDEs are supported?

Platform skill manifests are IDE-agnostic. Today, Cursor adapters map those manifests into editor skills and rules; the same spine can extend to additional environments without forking core OS behavior.

Do I need to self-host everything?

Workspaces can be git-native in your repos with your chosen IDE setup. Hosted browser experiences can pin a ChuboOS revision so teams orchestrate without receiving proprietary operator source — deployment models depend on your operator agreement.

How do I get early access or ask about partnerships?

Use the contact form or email hello@chubo.lol with your team size, domain (for example fintech, health, infra), and whether you need self-hosted workspace, hosted UI, or integration guidance.
